Rosewood Creek is based in Saint Petersburg, Florida and plays Rocking Americana and Roots-Rock music. Their high energy show appeals to all kinds of people. Most of the band's material is original, written by one of the three songwriters in the band. Cover songs are sprinkled through the sets but they are carefully chosen, presented in the band's unique style, and are not songs that have been overdone.
Rosewood Creek released two CDs in 2016, American Sojourn and Twang and Truth. Both can be found on all major music web sites such as iTunes and Amazon.com.
Three of the four members sing, and three part harmonies are often heard. In addition to the bass and drums of the rhythm section, you will hear acoustic and electric guitars, 12-string and lapsteel guitars, mandolin, fiddle, percussion and maybe even a banjo or ukulele. Cover songs are by a diverse range of artists including Lucinda Williams, Mumford and Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show, Mark Knopfler, Donna the Buffalo, Richard Thompson, and a host of others.
Bonnie Kesler Fouts is a multi-talented person who brings her voice and her skill with the bass guitar (and occasionally keyboards) to the band. Bonnie also sings lead at times plus she excels as a harmony singer, one of the keys to the sound of Rosewood Creek.
Marty Fouts is a long time multi-instrumentalist who plays electric and acoustic guitar in the band, as well as fiddle, mandolin and harmonica. Marty also is a prolific songwriter with a couple of solo CDs. He is a lead and harmony vocalist with Rosewood Creek. When Marty is not playing with Rosewood Creek, he is teaching music or listening to his other favorite live performers.
Raymond Solomon is the newest member of the group having replaced Bill Blough in 2016. Raymond played all over the northeast prior to moving to Florida a few years ago. He is well versed in the genres that Rosewood Creek plays and sounds great.
Colin Ward has played guitar since he was a kid in England. In Rosewood Creek, he plays various 6 and 12-string electric guitars and a lap steel. Colin is the third songwriter in the group and sings lead and harmony vocals. Colin is also an engineer and is responsible for some of the band's recordings and videos.
